PPP reject petroleum price increased

Islamabad (National Times) Central Spokesperson of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Shazia Marri, has expressed serious concern over the recent increase in petroleum prices, stating that the Rs55 per litre hike in petrol and diesel has placed a heavy financial burden on the public.

In her statement, Shazia Marri said that increasing petroleum prices for the second time during the holy month of Ramadan is extremely unfortunate and will further intensify the difficulties faced by the people.

She said the decision would trigger a new wave of inflation, adding that the public is already struggling with rising prices and economic pressure. According to her, the increase in fuel prices will negatively impact both the economy and the common citizens.

Marri urged the government to immediately withdraw the recent increase in petroleum prices and take practical measures to provide relief to the people.
