PTI not a political party but a cult: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD(National times)- Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif on Friday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is not a political party but a cult having no concept of political thinking. He said that there are half a dozen groups within PTI at present. Khawaja Asif said that apart from the PTI founder, every other party leader has faced abuse and will continue to face it. He said that for the interests of PTI founder, workers, leaders, and even the country’s interests are sacrificed. He claimed that there are differences between Aleema Khan, Imran Khan’s sister, and the PTI senior leadership. He said that Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi announced to launch “Release Imran Khan Force” to demonstrate loyalty in order to save his position. Khawaja Asif further said that a group of lawyers, whose entire political existence depends on and is indebted to the PTI founder, are appearing on camera to build their market value. They all want Imran Khan to remain in jail to keep their shops [political interests] open through such talk.
