ISLAMABAD(National times)- In a significant development in the Toshakhana-II case, the Islamabad High Court’s registrar office has raised objections to former PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s request for suspension of his sentence and release on bail. The registrar pointed out that objections related to the main appeal in the Toshakhana-II case were not addressed in a timely manner. According to rules, such objections were required to be resolved within seven days of filing the appeal.

The office noted that since the time for addressing the objections has already lapsed, the question arises how a plea for suspension of sentence can be entertained while objections remain pending on the appeal. This procedural snag has delayed any immediate decision on granting bail to the former prime minister.
