China condemns terrorist attack in Balochistan, expresses full solidarity with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD(National times)- Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and expressed China’s full solidarity with Pakistan. The ambassador held a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi at the Ministry of Interior on Thursday. The meeting was also attended by Minister of State for Interior Tallal Chaudhry, the Secretary of the Interior, Special Secretary of the Interior, and senior officials from the Chinese embassy. Ambassador Jiang strongly condemned the terrorist attacks targeting civilians and security forces in Balochistan and expressed condolences to the affected families. He reiterated China’s firm stance against all forms of terrorism and emphasized that China stands alongside Pakistan in its fight against terrorism. Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the ambassador on the coordinated nature of the attacks in Balochistan but highlighted the timely and effective response from Pakistan’s security forces. He also assured the Chinese ambassador that Pakistan is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and Chinese projects in the region. Naqvi emphasized that the protection of Chinese citizens and projects is of utmost importance to Pakistan, and that no adversary can harm the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations. As a precautionary measure, a Special Protection Unit is being set up to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals. During the meeting, the minister also discussed the importance of modern Chinese technology and equipment in combating terrorism and counter-terrorism operations. He further briefed the ambassador on his recent successful visit to China.The two sides engaged in a detailed exchange of views on counter-terrorism, internal security, and enhanced cooperation on intelligence sharing and cybercrimes. The commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China was reiterated.Ambassador Jiang expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s efforts in ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals, while Minister Naqvi thanked China for its unwavering support on every occasion.
