Council of Islamic Ideology condemns terrorism in Balochistan, KP

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) on Monday strongly condemned the recent incidents of terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dunya News reported. The condemnation came during the CII meeting, chaired by chairman Dr Raghib Hussain Naeemi. Maulana Raghib said that the entire nation stands with the Pakistan Armed Forces in war against terrorism. He said that terrorism has nothing to do with Islam. The meeting also declared so-called honour killings as un-Islamic, and has recommended allowing the dissolution of marriage (khula/annulment) after two years if a husband goes missing. The meeting also declared that if maintenance (nafqah) is not provided, annulment of marriage would be possible after one year, and if the husband is imprisoned, the wife may approach the court after three years.
