Child’s death in open sewer prompts sealing of wedding hall in Kasur

KASUR(National times)- Authorities in Punjab’s Kasur district sealed a private wedding hall and ordered the arrest of its owner after a three-year-old boy died by falling into an open sewer on the premises. According to officials, the child, identified as Ali Hoor, was playing when he slipped into an uncovered manhole near the wedding hall. Emergency services were alerted, but the boy could not be saved. Assistant Commissioner Ghulam Fatima ordered the immediate sealing of the facility, while Deputy Commissioner Asif Raza directed police to arrest the wedding hall owner and initiate legal proceedings. Officials said further action would be taken to ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents in the future.
