DIG Traffic Karach Pir Muhammad Shah removed from post

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pir Muhammad Shah has been removed from his position as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Traffic in Karachi. The decision comes after the tragic Gul Plaza fire incident, where 79 people lost their lives. According to a notification issued by the Sindh Police, Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh has been appointed as the new DIG Traffic in Karachi, replacing Shah. Reports indicate that Pir Muhammad Shah was removed due to his failure to manage traffic effectively after the Gul Plaza fire. The traffic congestion around the area severely hindered the movement of emergency services, including the fire brigade, which faced difficulties reaching the scene.
