KARACHI (National Times) Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Prof Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday said that the Muslims should reinvent their lost knowledge and come forward to revive the path to research.
While addressing the Annual Event and Convocation of Jamia Banoria Aalamia here, he said that the western countries are researching the creation of world and no Muslim country is seen even near to it.
Stressing the need for the revival of the knowledge, he said that the Muslims must reconsider and equip themselves with education.
The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Prof Ahsan Iqbal said we have kept the Holy Quran only for blessings but have forgotten its soul (Real Meaning).
Congratulating the graduating students of Jamia Banoria Aalamia, he said that they would be ambassador of Pakistan across the world.
He said, “I pray for the success of the graduates.” He further said that Jamia Banoria is not only imparting education but also introducing new ambassadors of the country.
Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori addressing the attendees said that Jamia Banoria Aalamia has changed the perception about seminaries around the world.
The Governor said that Islam teaches to respect minories and the humanity.He said Islam prioritizes education and knowledge and that is the education, which could eradicate ignorance.
Tessori said we must hold teachings of Islam to defeat terrorism and economic challenges.
In view of Gul Plaza fire incident, he said that an awareness program is going to begin at Governor House on fire and disaster to creat awareness among the traders and business community of the city.
He advised all to keep themselves away from any blame-game on the Gul Plaza fire issue.
Later, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Prof Ahsan Iqbal and Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori awarded degrees to the graduating students.
The ceremony was also attended by Consul Generals and dignitaries of various countries including Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Oman, Ethiopia among others.
