Davos: DPM Dar Inaugurates Pakistan Pavilion at WEF 2026


Davos (National Times): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday inaugurated the Pathfinder Group’s Pakistan Pavilion on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the initiative to project Pakistan’s vast economic potential and emerging investment opportunities on a prominent global platform. He highlighted the growing dynamism, resilience, and innovation of Pakistani start-ups, terming them a key driver of the country’s future economic growth.

Senator Dar underscored the critical role of start-ups in advancing socio-economic development and fostering innovation across diverse sectors, including technology, finance, and services. He emphasized that entrepreneurship, particularly youth-led initiatives, remains central to Pakistan’s long-term economic strategy.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Deputy Prime Minister said that concrete measures were being taken to facilitate and promote entrepreneurs and start-ups, enabling them to fully realize Pakistan’s economic potential and compete effectively in global markets.

The Pakistan Pavilion at WEF 2026 aims to showcase the country’s investment landscape, innovation ecosystem, and business-friendly reforms to international stakeholders.
