Murad, Bugti agree on joint strategy to improve law and order on Sindh-Balochistan border

KARACHI(National times)- An agreement has been reached on a joint strategy to further improve law and order situation along the borders of Sindh and Balochistan, Dunya News reported on Friday. A meeting was held between Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti in Karachi on Friday. Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore were also present in the meeting. Both chief ministers discussed the country’s economy as well as the political situation, and reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding mutual cooperation between Balochistan and Sindh. Murad Ali Shah said that the economy is moving in the right direction and its benefits will reach the public. He added that sustainable economic development is not possible without political stability, and added that public trust is being restored through government policies. The Chief Minister of Balochistan said that effective coordination among security institutions has led to a clear reduction in crime. The Senate Chairman discussed various legislative matters and parliamentary affairs. Consultations were also held on strengthening party organization and political activities of the Pakistan People’s Party in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
