JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman to arrive in Lahore tomorrow on three-day visit

LAHORE(National times)- Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman is set to arrive in Lahore tomorrow on a three-day visit, party officials confirmed on Friday. JUI Punjab spokesperson Hafiz Ghazanfar Aziz said that on January 11 at 10:00 am, Maulana Fazlur Rehman will address a condolence gathering and madaris convention at Jamia Ashrafia, Lahore. Later, after Zuhr prayers, he will speak at a Khatm-e-Bukhari gathering at Jamia Madania Jadeed on Raiwind Road. According to the spokesperson, on January 12, Maulana Fazlur Rehman will also address a provincial digital media convention after Zuhr prayers. During his visit, he will hold meetings with religious scholars, social figures, party office-bearers, and workers, aiming to keep the party united and strengthen organisational roots. Hafiz Ghazanfar Aziz said the visit will provide an opportunity for consultation on current political and organisational matters, adding that Maulana Fazlur Rehman believes in keeping his ear to the ground and staying connected with workers at all levels. The JUI-F chief will be accompanied by central coordinator Engineer Ziaur Rehman, provincial ameer Maulana Safiullah, secretary general Hafiz Nasir Ahmed Ahrar, and other senior party leaders. Party sources said the visit is part of ongoing efforts to energise the party in Punjab and reinforce its message among religious circles and grassroots supporters.
