Dubai Police launch awareness campaign against begging

Pakistan(National Times)- DUBAI: Dubai Police has launched an awareness campaign titled “Donate Wisely” to protect the public from fraudulent beggars and ensure aid reaches the truly needy at the beginning of Ramadan. The police have warned residents not to fall for false stories from beggars roaming near streets, mosques, and public places. Police said that these professional beggars misuse people’s generosity and donations. Dubai Police urged the public to donate only to accredited charities and report any suspicious begging activities immediately. The police officials emphasised that responsible donations not only safeguard the community but also ensure help reaches deserving individuals.
