Islamabad Express escapes major disaster

ISLAMABAD(National Times)- Islamabad Express, traveling from Lahore to Rawalpindi, escaped major disaster as one wheel of the train’s engine was broken near Lalamusa, Dunya News reported on Monday. As a result of the incident, the track was blocked, forcing a suspension of train services along the affected route. According to sources, the train going to Lahore from Rawalpindi was stopped at the Sarai Alamgir Railway Station, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. Relief teams have been sent to the location and clearance operations will commence shortly, a spokesperson for Pakistan Railways stated. The railway administration assured the public that all necessary measures were being taken to restore normal traffic as swiftly as possible.
