GB Assembly elections postponed due to severe weather

Gilgit-Baltistan(National times)- The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections have been postponed due to severe weather conditions in the area. According to the Election Commission, an all-party conference was held regarding the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, during which the decision to postpone the elections was made. The PPP and PML-N supported holding the elections on January 24. The Commission stated that 13 different parties opposed the general elections, and a new date will be announced later. It is worth noting that the all-party conference was convened today to discuss postponing the elections due to worsening weather conditions, after which the official announcement of the postponement was made.
