PM forms committee to probe passenger offloading issue

ISLAMABAD(National times)- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of reports of arbitrary offloading of Pakistani passengers at various airports and has constituted a 14-member committee to streamline immigration procedures. Over the past few months, numerous incidents have been reported of travellers being offloaded from flights at various country airports, despite possessing valid travel documents. Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain will head the committee which also includes the federal IT minister, the state minister for overseas Pakistanis, and secretaries of the relevant ministries. The committee will submit its report to the prime minister within three weeks to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
