Punjab intensifies crackdown on illegal number plates, tinted windows

LAHORE(National times)- The Punjab government has stepped up its crackdown on traffic violations, including illegal number plates and tinted windows. According to an official report obtained by Dunya News, significant penalties have been imposed for various traffic law infractions during the first ten months of this year. The report reveals that over 794,000 illegal number plates were confiscated, leading to fines exceeding Rs202 million. Additionally, a major operation against tinted windows resulted in more than 202,000 fines and over Rs101 million in penalties across the province. Among the cities, Lahore topped the list with over 300,000 violations related to illegal number plates and more than 64,000 offenses related to tinted windows. Other cities like Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Multan also saw significant enforcement activity.Punjab Traffic Police have emphasized that these measures are aimed at enhancing public safety and enforcing the rule of law.
