12 injured as wedding bus collides with truck in Kasur

KASUR(National times)- Twelve passengers were injured – two of them in a critical – when a bus and a mini-truck collided in Athilpur, near Raiwind Road, Dunya News reported here on Saturday. A Mazda bus carrying guests of a marriage ceremony from Kasur to Raiwind collided with a mini-truck near Athilpur. The bus caught a fire after the accident. Those injured have been identified as Shabana, Attaullah, Ali Hassan, Shafiq, Shamim Bibi and others. Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and started rescue operation. The rescue team shifted the injured to Bulleh Shah Hospital, whereas the critically injured were sent to General Hospital Lahore. Police reached the accident site and started investigation. Initial probe suggested that the collision took place due to excessive speed and reckless driving.
