ANP not contacted regarding proposal of governor’s rule in KP: Spokesperson

PESHAWAR(National Times)- Spokesperson for the Awami National Party (ANP) Engineer Ihsanullah Khan on Sunday said that his party was not contacted regarding the proposal of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Ihsanullah Khan said that if contact is made, the party will hold a consultative meeting and then decide about it. He was of the view that the provincial government has no writ, and the current government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is unable to deliver. Engineer Ehsanullah further said that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) wants to stage protests, it should leave the government. The Awami National Party believes in the continuity of democratic institutions, he said. It is noteworthy that after consideration of the proposal for Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the name of ANP central leader and former KP Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has also been included among the potential candidates for governorship.
