Ishaq Dar Meets NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels

Brussels (National Times) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and discussed issues of shared interest, including peace and security, counterterrorism, climate change, and regional and global developments.
Secretary General Rutte appreciated Pakistan’s contributions to regional stability and acknowledged its counterterrorism efforts. Senator Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to a peaceful and stable South Asia, stressing the importance of constructive dialogue and cooperation. He emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to combat terrorism, noting that the country continues to face threats originating from beyond its borders and is actively implementing measures to counter them.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan–NATO cooperation and agreed to continue working together to address common challenges and promote peace and security regionally and globally.
