ECP takes notice of KP CM’s ‘threats’ to police, admin in election rally

PESHAWAR(National times)- The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken notice of ‘threatening words’ allegedly used by KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi against government employees in a public rally in Havelian on Wednesday. According to sources, the Election Commission has taken notice of the statement of the CM for allegedly using ‘threatening words’ against government employees in Havelian public rally. The commission has decided to take action against the CM in light of a monitoring report, the sources revealed.

 KP CM Afridi urges people to vote for PTI in Nov 23 by-polls

The commission has called a meeting at 11:30 am on Thursday (today) in which legal action will be considered on the matter. Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi addressing a public gathering in Haripur district had warned that if the administration or police attempted rigging, “the consequences will not be good.” Addressing a public gathering in Haripur district, Afridi said that Pakistan’s most popular leader and his wife were in jail, while the PTI chief’s sisters were subjected to torture outside Adiala Jail. He said that the PTI leader and his family were giving sacrifices for the country, urging people to vote for PTI in the by-election on the 23rd.
