ECP issues notice to Talal Chaudhry for election code violation

ISLAMABAD(National Times)- The Election Commission od Pakistan (ECP) on Sunday issued a notice to the Minister of State for Interior, Senator Talal Chaudhry, for election code violation. According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission Punjab, the notice was issued over Talal Chaudhry’s visit to provincial assembly constituency PP-116 and holding media talk there. The District Monitoring Officer of Faisalabad has issued the notice to the federal minister for violating the code of conduct. Talal Chaudhry has been asked to submit a reply within two days, and a detailed report will be sent to the Election Commission in Islamabad. It is pertinent to mention here that the PP-116 seat fell vacant after the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Ismail Saila, and a by-election is being held in the constituency.
