Security forces eliminate five terrorists in KPs’ Bannu, Lakki Marwat

BANNU(National times)- Five militants were killed in a joint operation conducted by the police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to reports, the operation was carried out in the border area of both the districts following intelligence about the presence of members of the militant group Fitna al-Khawarij. Local residents also provided full support to the police during the operation. The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu Sajjad Khan. Residents said that a large number of locals stood shoulder to shoulder with the police, reaffirming their support for the brave Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police personnel in maintaining peace.

Another facilitator arrested in Islamabad Judicial Complex suicide attack case

Bannu RPO Sajjad Khan stated that KP Police officers remain fully prepared to ensure law and order and protect the public. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General Zulfiqar Hameed praised the police forces of Lakki Marwat and Bannu for their brilliant performance. Earlier in the day, another key facilitator involved in Islamabad Judicial Complex suicide attack was also arrested. According to sources, the arrested suspect played a crucial role in assisting the suicide bomber. Intelligence agencies also detained the tailor who worked on the explosive vest used in the attack. Officials revealed that the suicide jacket was prepared in Peshawar, where the explosive materials were also delivered before assembly.
