LARKANA(National times)- The Sindh High Court has ordered the removal of four police officers, including the SSP, for lodging a false case against a citizen. The Larkana Bench of the Sindh High Court heard the case related to the false charges. The court directed the removal of SSP Larkana Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry, DSP Prosecution Bashir Abro, SHO Hatri Ghulam Shah Police Station Shamshad Abro, and the investigation officer. The court further ordered that the case be handed over to the FIA for investigation, instructing that the probe be completed within seven days. The Inspector General of Sindh Police was also directed to remove the officers from their posts within the same period and submit a report to ensure they do not influence the investigation.

The false case was filed at Hatri Ghulam Shah Police Station against a citizen named Imtiaz Sehto under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997. According to police claims, a hand grenade was recovered from Sehto, and he allegedly intended to damage the Larkana–Khairpur bridge. The court, however, observed that the accused had been kept in illegal custody by CIA Larkana since August 11, 2025, and that the case was maliciously fabricated to harass him. The judges noted that it was illogical to assume a person would travel over 100 kilometers from Mehrabpur to destroy a bridge — a claim the court deemed unbelievable. The court also granted bail to the accused for Rs 20,000.
