CM Maryam says shifting resources toward Punjab flood victims

LAHORE(National times)- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday said that the provincial government is turning all its resources toward helping people hit hard by the recent floods. Speaking to the media in Lahore, she stressed that the province is carrying out the “largest-ever rescue and relief operation in Punjab’s history” after three major rivers overflowed, creating an unprecedented situation. “Our teams are on the ground, working round the clock to serve the flood victims,” she assured. Maryam Nawaz added that a proper mechanism has been set up to keep an eye on the changing flood situation, with PDMA officials, district administrations, and rescue workers out in the field.
