Two children among four drown in Jalalpur Pirwala flood

JALALPUR PIRWALA(National times)- In a tragic turn of events, four people including two children on Monday drowned in floodwaters in an attempt to take a refuge at a safe place after their villages came underwater. They on self-help bases were moving to a location without floodwaters, but the floodwater was quite deep which caused their instant drowning. The body of 15-year-old Fatima Bibi was found. While the search for 15-year-old Muhammad Abdullah and 25-year-old Luqman continued. A 30-year-old Qari Abdullah was rescued. Their family members said they were leaving their homes and moving to safer places with their own help. When the water deepened on the way, children and young people drowned. They said the search for those who drowned was ongoing under their own efforts. Despite calling rescue and the administration several times, they did turn up for their help, they alleged.
