LAHORE(National times)- Punjab continued to reel from deluges as its rivers are posing threat with a surge of water. High level flood situation continued in Chenab, Sutlej and Ravi. After wreaking havoc in Punjab, the floodwater is heading towards Sindh. The water flow at Guddu Barrage has started increasing continuously. A moderate flood has occurred, the water flow has been recorded at 416,000 cusecs and a flood of 800,000 cusecs is likely to pass through Guddu Barrage. There is a fear of a large area of Kachha being submerged, the administration has issued a high alert. A flood of 782,000 cusecs has started flowing from Chachran in the Indus River in Khanpur. A flood of 9 to 1 million cusecs is likely to flow in the next 24 hours. There is low-level flooding in the Indus River at Sukkur. The Sindh government has claimed that the situation is under control. Sharjeel Memon says that the water level is being monitored continuously. The Sindh government stands with the people in every difficult time. The situation is dangerous in Panjnad and Trimmum areas. There is moderate flooding in Guddu.
