Court extends bails of Bushra Bibi, Omar Ayub, others in Nov 26 protest case

ISLAMABAD(National times)- An anti-terrorism court on Monday extended the bail of PTI founder’s wife, Bushra Bibi, Omar Ayub, and other PTI leaders in the November 26 protest case. ATC Islamabad Judge Abual-Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the cases against PTI leaders regarding the November 26 protest, demonstrations outside the Supreme Court, and other related matters. Leaders including Sher Afzal Marwat and former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, appeared before the court. The court extended the pre-arrest bail of Bushra Bibi, Omar Ayub, and others, and restrained police from arresting them in the relevant cases until November 13. Applications for exemption from personal appearance were filed on behalf of Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, and others, which the court accepted. It is pertinent to mention that more than 240 bail petitions of PTI leaders were under hearing. The court directed both parties to present arguments at the next hearing. PTI leaders are facing cases registered in Ramna, Sangjani, Tarnol, and other police stations.
