Three dead, as many injured in Nankana roof collapse

NANKANA SAHIB(National times)- Three persons were killed and as many injured in a roof collapse, Dunya News reported here on Saturday. Rescue 1122 responded a distress call about the fall of the roof, which the rescuers said caved in due to rain. They said the roof of the house was rundown, and could not withstand heavy rain. Rescue teams shifted the dead and the injured to hospital. The deceased have been identified as Kusur, 45, Ayesha, 8, and Nimra, 12. The injured included Sheharyar, 12, Meharyar,10, and Tahira 18. They were under treatment in hospital.

In rainy season, dozens of incidents of roof and house collapse have been reported since the start of monsoon. Mud houses and dilapidated buildings are mostly reported to have caved in during rains.
