PM to visit flood-affected areas of Narowal, Sialkot today

ISLAMABAD(National times)- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit the flood-affected areas of Narowal and Sialkot today (Thursday) to assess the damage caused by devastating floods, Dunya News reported. According to sources, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Chairman NDMA, and federal ministers will accompany the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be briefed on the ongoing relief operation. Sources further stated that federal ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Ahsan Iqbal will also accompany the Prime Minister during the visit to the flood-affected regions. The Prime Minister will first conduct an aerial survey of the affected areas, followed by a detailed briefing on the relief efforts and the rehabilitation of those impacted by the floods. Sources also confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s scheduled visit to Gilgit has been cancelled.
