Video evidence reveals why Aleema Khan’s sons got arrested over May 9 violence

LAHORE (National times)- A video containing solid evidence has been released in connection with the arrest of the nephews of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and the sons of Aleema Khan. According to reliable sources, Shershah Khan and Shahrez Khan were said to involved in the attack on Jinnah House. Sources revealed that on the day of the attack, Shershah was present alongside Hassan Niazi. Shershah has already been named in a previous FIR related to the May 9 incident. He faces charges of arson, vandalism, and setting a police van on fire. The FIR also accuses Shershah of participating in assaults on police officers during the violent protests. Authorities possess video evidence confirming his presence at the crime scene. It is further reported that Shershah had been hiding in London for the past two years. He fled the country shortly after the May 9 riots and remained in hiding until his return, when he was arrested on August 22, 2025. Reliable sources also confirmed that Shahrez had been named in a supplementary report filed in September 2023. He was presented in court on August 22, 2025, following his arrest on August 21 based on strong evidence. An FIR had been registered against him prior to the arrest.
