Four-day school holiday announced in Sindh

KARACHI(National Times)- The Sindh Education Department has officially announced that all public and private schools across the province will remain closed on August 15 in observance of Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA). According to a notification, the holiday on August 15 will result in an extended four-day break for schools, starting from August 14 and continuing through August 17. According to the details, schools will observe closures on August 14 (Thursday) for Independence Day, August 15 (Friday) for Chehlum, followed by the weekend on August 16 (Saturday) and August 17 (Sunday). The announcement applies to all government and private educational institutions across Sindh, allowing students and staff a rare four-day consecutive holiday.
