Visitors travel to New South Wales town to experience heavy snowfall

International Desk(National Times)- Visitors braved the conditions and travelled for hours on Saturday to see heavy snowfall in the New South Wales town of Guyra. Locals and visitors made the most of snowy conditions, enjoying snowball fights, building snowmen, taking photos and one couple even getting engaged in the winter wonderland. Queensland resident Brendan Gough travelled from Queensland to see snow for the first time. “I’ve never seen snow before in my entire life and it really is a surreal experience”, said Gough. New South Wales State Emergency Service responded to more than 100 vehicles who became stuck in snow, it said in a statement on Sunday.
