PM expresses grief over train accident

ISLAMABAD(National Times)- Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday expressed grief over the accident involving the Rawalpindi-bound Islamabad Express near Kala Shah Kaku in which 30 people sustained injuries. The Prime Minister extended heartfelt sympathies to the families affected by the tragic incident and expressed solidarity with them in this difficult time. He also conveyed his deepest sympathies to those injured in the accident and wished them a swift and full recovery. He ordered provision of immediate medical assistance to the injured on priority basis. On the other hand, Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi ordered a formal inquiry into the train derailment near Kala Shah Kaku and directed the concerned authorities to submit a comprehensive report within seven days. Taking notice of the Islamabad Express derailment, the minister instructed Railway staff to expedite rescue operations and ordered medical teams to reach the site without delay.
