FDI hosts exposure visit to NAVTTC for working professionals

ISLAMABAD(National times)- Forum for Dignity Initiative (FDI) hosted an exposure visit to the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) for working professionals on Tuesday. The event brought together professionals from diverse sectors, including media professionals, students, and others. Talking to APP, Uzma Yaqoob, Executive Director of FDI, said it was an important trip to educate participants about the functioning of government institution NAVTTC serving youth by providing them with free vocational training opportunities. “The good thing is that they are providing both conventional and unconventional training, and the overseas programs are a great initiative for skilled people who want to settle abroad. NAVTTC also provides certification,” she added. In an interview with APP, Fatima Sajid, Program Officer at FDI, said the Forum for Dignity Initiative arranged the exposure visit to NAVTTC to inform young people about how NAVTTC works and its ongoing initiatives. Gulmeena Bilal Ahmed, Chairperson of NAVTTC, also met the young fellows from FDI and shared the organization’s objectives, which are to provide skills training and make youth work-ready. Manahil Sarfraz, a journalist, said while talking to APP that the visit was a great learning experience. “I am looking forward to registering for one of their digital courses to excel in the profession of journalism,” she added.
