ISLAMABAD(National times)- President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday extended his heartfelt congratulations to Muhammad Asif for winning the 2025 World Snooker Championship. The president said Muhammad Asif made the entire nation proud with his outstanding performance. His triumph in an international event was a clear manifestation to the talent, determination, and hard work of Pakistani athletes, he added. Asif proved his dominating class by edging India’s Brijesh Damani 4-3 in a tense final to win the IBSF World Masters Snooker Championship, President Secretariat Press Wing said in a press release. The president also praised Muhammad Asif’s dedication, courage, and professional excellence. He opined that Muhammad Asif, with his victory, proved that Pakistani athletes were no less than others at the global stage, in terms of possession of capabilities.
