Commissioner Multan and RPO Inspect Muharram Security, Express Satisfaction Over Arrangements

Vehari (M Yousuf bhatti) On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Commissioner Multan Aamir Kareem Khan and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Captain (R) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry visited Vehari to inspect the arrangements for Muharram, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Imrana Touqeer and DPO Muhammad Afzal.

They met with procession organizers and District Peace Committee members, who thanked the Chief Minister for excellent arrangements and security. The officials received a comprehensive briefing and expressed satisfaction over the preparations.

They visited the central Imambargah and procession routes, reviewing cleanliness, lighting, water stalls, and overall security. Commissioner Aamir Kareem emphasized that ensuring safe and peaceful Muharram processions is a top priority, while RPO Sohail Chaudhry stated that strict checking through walk-through gates and metal detectors would be enforced.

DC Imrana Touqeer is actively coordinating departments, ensuring mobile medical camps, water stalls, alternative traffic plans, continuous liaison with organizers, and effective CCTV monitoring, along with rainwater drainage arrangements. DPO Muhammad Afzal confirmed heavy police deployment on routes and rooftops. Commissioner Aamir Kareem personally inspected water quality at a sabeel.

Peace Committee members including Allama Ghulam Qanbar Askari, Sheikh Abdul Latif, Irshad Hussain Bhatti, Tahir Sharif Gujjar, Master Riaz Masih and others assured full cooperation, while several officials including ADCG, AC Ghazala Kanwal, DSP Rizwan Khan, CEO MC Rao Naeem Khalid, DDPR Mian Naeem Asim, DHO Dr. Ahmad Nawaz, and DM Arslan Hameed were also present.
