Mild tremors felt in parts of Karachi

Pakistan(National Times)- Mild earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Karachi early Monday morning, particularly around the Quaidabad area, according to the Seismological Centre. The tremors were recorded at 3:14am, with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale.The epicentre was located in the Malir region, and the depth of the quake was measured at 8 kilometres. No casualties or damage were immediately reported, but residents in the affected areas reported brief shaking and were left concerned by the sudden disturbance. On June 16, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake had struck Balochistan’s Kalat district, sparking panic among residents. According to the seismic centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicentre of the earthquake was located 8 kilometres southeast of the Kalat district.
