Pakistani Parliamentary Delegation Meets Vice-Chair of European Parliament’s Human Rights Subcommittee to Discuss Legal Reforms and Regional Human Rights Concerns

Strasbourg (National Times) The Pakistani parliamentary delegation held a significant meeting with Ms. Marta Temido, 1st Vice-Chair of the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights.

Key topics included Pakistan’s ongoing legal reforms, constitutional protections for minorities, and progress under the GSP+ framework. The delegation also raised concerns about selective human rights narratives, especially in light of systemic violations occurring in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, the delegation emphasized Pakistan’s openness to dialogue and constructive engagement on human rights issues, advocating for a balanced and integrity-driven approach.
