Brussels (National Times) Ambassador Rahim Hayat held a meeting with Mr. Pol Witte, Director General of the Egmont Institute, Belgium’s premier think tank on international affairs.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on a range of regional and global developments of mutual interest. Ambassador Hayat provided a comprehensive briefing on the current peace and security situation in South Asia, highlighting key challenges and opportunities for stability in the region.

They also explored potential avenues for enhancing institutional collaboration between the Egmont Institute and leading think tanks in Pakistan. The meeting underscored the shared commitment to fostering dialogue, research, and cooperation on issues of strategic importance.
