Brussels (National Times) Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg, H.E. Rahim Hayat Qureshi, held a constructive meeting with Mr. Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director General at the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) of the European Commission.
The meeting marked another step forward in the deepening of Pakistan–EU relations, particularly within the framework of the Pakistan–EU Migration and Mobility Dialogue. Both sides engaged in detailed discussions on a range of critical topics, including:
- Ongoing collaboration under the Migration and Mobility Dialogue
- Opportunities for expanding legal migration pathways, notably through the EU’s Talent Partnerships initiative
- Regional and global developments of mutual interest
Ambassador Qureshi and Mr. Luchner reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing dialogue and cooperation in the field of migration governance. The exchange underscored the importance of people-to-people linkages and the mutual benefits of a well-managed migration system.
