Cat rescued after it got stuck while wiggling through drainpipe

Pakistan(National Times)- Firefighters had to free a cat from a drainpipe after it got stuck in the middle while wiggling through it. The black cat, a female named John, was found with her head poking through an end of the pipe, connected to a garage in Clevedon, North Somerset, according to Sky News.  The firefighters were called on Sunday for the rescue mission. Small tools to extract the cat before she was whisked to a local vet, where the remaining piece of the pipe was removed. Thankfully the cat suffered no serious injuries, according to Clevedon Fire Station. “John (Yes John) the cat had get [sic] herself (Yes John is a girl, it’s a long story) stuck in a garage drainpipe from the inside of the garage,” they added. “The crew used ladders and small tools to cut John out. The easiest and least distressing option was to cut a section of the pipe out with John in situ,” the firefighter department said. The veterinary clinic, Vets4Pets Clevedon said in a statement that John was taken care of, “cuddled and pampered” before she was returned and reunited with her “relieved owner”. They further added that the cat was given oxygen therapy and was sedated while the pipe was removed by the fire brigade rescuers.
