WhatsApp rolling out new chat memory feature for Meta AI

Pakistan(National Times)- Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on a new chat memory feature for Meta AI, and it will be available in a future update. This feature aims to enhance user interactions by allowing Meta AI to automatically remember specific details shared during conversations in future.  The under-developed feature, however, is currently not available for beta testers. According to WABetaInfo, it appears that WhatsApp has plans to bring this improvement to the iOS app, aiming to provide a consistent experience across both platforms. “Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.22.10.78 update, which is available from the TestFlight app.” The app is exploring a new feature that allows Meta AI to remember certain previous details shared with the chatbot, scheduled for release in a future update. This memory feature represents a significant advancement in the personalisation of Meta AI’s interactions, as the chatbot will be able to provide more relevant and tailored responses. Meta AI will also be able to retain information such as certain dietary preferences, allergies, communication style, and even personal interests like favorite books or podcasts. The ability to retain memory will make Meta AI a more versatile tool for personalised assistance. The chat memory feature will support real-time and context-aware responses, improving the quality of interactions, especially when users are seeking advice, recommendations, or answers to specific questions. The new feature would allow users to update or delete stored information at any time. This ensures that users can manage their privacy and tailor the AI memory to suit their comfort level.
