CTD DSP Ali Raza shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI (National Times) A Deputy Superintendent of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Ali Raza was shot dead in Karachi’s Karimabad area on Sunday.

As per initial reports, DSP Ali Raza was on his way home when unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on his vehicle in the Karimabad area.

He was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he breathed his last.

Senior officials of the police and security agencies reached the scene upon receiving reports of firing by unidentified persons that killed one and severely injured another officer.

It was also reported that he worked closely with deceased SSP Chauhary Muhammad Aslam.

Meanwhile, Sindh Interior Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar ordered Immediate actions to apprehend the perpetrators involved in the attack, stressing that no effort should be spared in ensuring the proper treatment and care of the injured police officer.

Lanjar also paid tribute to the services of DSP Ali Raza and praised his contributions.
