ISLAMABAD (National Times) During the hearing of petition filed by PTI counsel Naeem Panjutha for his meeting with PTI founder in jail in Islamabad High Court (IHC), Additional Advocate General (AAG) Punjab has sought time to file complete report.

The court sought pictures of the room allocated in jail.

The court while seeking report and arguments on powers of jurisdiction the court adjourned the hearing of case till next week of Eid ul Azha.

Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz heard the case Friday.

Shoaib Shaheen said reply has come from Punjab government but no reasons for not arranging meeting have been told.

The court said Punjab government is saying in this report the responsibilities outside jail rest with district police.

Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz remarked does it mean that government of Punjab has no powers therein.

State counsel said this is reply from deputy secretary jails.

Shoaib Shaheen said this reply is from government of Punjab. Its signatures are thereon.

The court remarked we had not given these directives.

Shoaib Shaheen said there is no threat in security plan.

Shoaib Shaheen said they don’t allow to take any document inside jail.

The court remarked there are security issues in bank. The checking is made easily therein. There is security in bank but there is facilitation too in the bank Tell me what is done with the lawyers of remaining prisoners therein. Is it done with them too.

The court remarked you have raised glass wall in the case of this prisoner. How the conversation is done due to glass wall.

AG Punjab said glass wall is there in between whenever meeting takes place in every prisoner.

The SC then allowed him to meet.

State counsel said the criminals who are involved in heinous crimes are imprisoned in Adiala jail.

The court inquired it means now no prisoner can meet with lawyers. We cannot arrange meeting with lawyers in jail. What is it.
