Three-member gang of jewelry robbers busted

KARACHI (National Times) The police busted a three-member gang of jewelry robbers including a woman and recovered stolen jewelry valuing over 1.2 million rupees.

According to details, the police on a tip-off launched crackdown against jewelry robbers in Orangi Town Pakistan Bazaar Karachi.

During raid, three-member gang of jewelry robbers including a woman was arrested.

The detainees had looted Al-Rehman Jewelers in Pakistan Bazaar on April 12, 2024 by breaking open the locks of the jewelry.

The police had identified an accused through CCTV footage and arrested the three-member gang during operation.

The police recovered 10 rings, 27 lounges, 10 lockets, nine balis, 17 bundys, five chain tops, one kundi and one paich valuing over Rs1.2 million stolen from different jewelry shops from possession of the detainees.

Different cases were registered against the detainees including Jamil ur Rehman s/o Ghulam Nabi, Haider Ali s/o Habib and Sumera w/o Habib ur Rehman and they were being investigated.
