ASI martyred in Peshawar targeted attack

PESHAWAR (National Times) An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police was martyred in a targeted attack in Sarband area of the provincial capital on Wednesday.

According to details, ASI Ali Akbar on his way to Hayatabad to join duty was attacked by unidentified armed motorcyclist.

As a result of firing, ASI Akbar was martyred and attackers sped the scene of crime.

The body was moved to hospital for postmortem. SP Cantt said that a case was registered into the incident and investigations were being conducted from different angles.
