ISLAMABAD (National Times): Islamabad district and sessions court has adjourned hearing of appeals by PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi against conviction in Nikah during iddat case till the receipt of reply from Rizwan Abbasi advocate.

He argued if he is permitted then he will want to call him Saeed instead of Mufti. The video statement about not knowing witnesses is enough to prove Mufti Saeed liar.
District and Sessions judge Shah Rukh Arjumand heard the appeal pleas of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi against their conviction in Nikah during Iddat case Wednesday.

Assistant lawyer to Raja Rizwan Abbasi told the court that Rizwan Abbasi advocate is going abroad.
Suleman Akram Raja advocate said Rizwan Abbasi has given most of arguments.
Suleman Akram Raja started giving reply to reply. He referred to Supreme Court (SC) Judgment in iddat case.
Suleman Akram Raja said SC gave decision keeping in view dignity and privacy of woman. What statement has been given by Khawar Monika is not direct proof.
According to Manika as per a video interview, Bushra Bibi is righteous woman. In video Manika has called Bushra Bibi his former wife.
In his interview, Khawar Monika had cleared Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. Manika has accepted it in his interview in the court as well.
Suleman Akram Raja advocate said Khawar Manika is arrested and cases are registered against him. Khawar Manika is set free on November 14, 2023 and he lodges complaint on November 25.
He took the plea Khawar Monika recalled after five years and eleven months that he was to resort. Khawar Monika told lie before trial court and he expressed no- confidence on this court too.
Suleman Akram Raja told the court Mufti Saeed remained part of PTI core committee. Mufti Saeed told the court he solemnized nikah of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi verbally but he could not remember name of witnesses.
On the request of Suleman Akram Raja, video statement of Mufti Saeed about Nikah during Iddat was run before the court. He had said that the evidence of woman with reference to iddat is final. Mufti Saeed deviated before trial court from what he had said.
Suleman Akram Raja said the objective of showing Mufti Saeed video statement is to bring fore the character of Mufti Saeed.
He said Supreme Court decision about iddat can be changed by Supreme Court (SC).
The statement of not knowing the witnesses and this video statement is enough to prove Mufti Saeed liar.
Suleman Akram Raja said what is meaning of fraud. In fraud one man is committing fraud and second with whom fraud is being committed. In this matter with whom fraud has been committed.
He argued there is nothing in the record that it is fraud nikah.
He held if the wakeel sahb says in Denmark that he is not coming then what will we do. Please talk to Rizwan Abbasi and ask him to come through video link.
Judge Shah Rukh Arjumand inquired from assistant advocate to Rizwan Abbasi advocate to contact Rizwan Abbasi and tell him he should give arguments through E-COURT.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till the reply of Rizwan Abbasi is received.
