PM Shehbaz Sharif resigns as PML-N president

ISLAMABAD (National Times): Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has resigned as president of PML-N.

Meeting of Central Working Committee ( CWC) of PML-N has been summoned on Saturday May 18 in Lahore. The meeting has been called under clause 15 of the constitution of the party.

PML-N secretary general Ahsan Iqbal has issued notice of meeting to all the members of CWC.

In the meeting the acting president will be nominated. CWC will nominate Nawaz Sharif as acting president.

PML-N General council will endorse president -ship of Mian Nawaz Sharif on May 28.
