India put multi-layered armed forces under garb of sham-polls in Srinagar

Srinagar(National Times): : A multilayered arrangement of armed forces under the garb of sham-polls was put in place on Monday in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) capital Srinagar to hoodwink world opinion.
According to Media , it is for the first time since the abrogation of Article 370, nearly 17.48 lakh people in IIOJK Srinagar constituency and Indian BJP led government is using all its forces to hold elections under heavy deployment of army and armed forces to paste a picture of its own.
BJP Government is dubbing the voter turnout will be better as it redrawn Srinagar constituency, following the delimitation exercise in IIOJK in 2022, will be keenly watched as most of the areas under the seat had previously witnessed low polling and boycott calls given all parties Hurriyat conference (APHC) has gained app4reciation as most of the people remain indoors.
The IGP of BJP-installed Kashmir administration has said the foolproof security arrangements were made but so far people have not paid any heed to sham polls.
Heavy contingents of police, para-military forces were deployed all over the districts of Srinagar, Ganderbal, Pulwama and parts of Budgam and Shopian districts.
As many as 2,135 polling stations have been set up across Srinagar, Ganderbal, Pulwama and parts of Budgam and Shopian districts where polling will be held. Twenty-six special polling stations have been set up for migrant voters of Kashmir Division with 21 in Jammu, four in Delhi and one in Udhampur District.
Besides heavy deployement of armed forces more than 8,500 polling staff, including reserve staff, will be deployed on duty on polling day. Voting will take place from 7 am to 6 pm,” said an official of the administration.
To terrorize people of IIOJK the forces were trying to bring people out of their houses and guide them forcibly towards polling stations.
