Registrar LHC stopped from fixing petition of Suleman Akram Raja for hearing

LAHORE (National Times): Registrar Lahore High Court (LHC) has been stopped from fixing petition of Suleman Akram Raja for hearing.

Justice Shahid Karim of LHC has remarked my name has also been proposed for tribunal. How can I hear this case.

The counsel argued this is not personal matter of any judge. Therefore, court can hear the case.

The court while seeking reply from Election Commission on non appointing judges as tribunal judge adjourned the hearing of the case.
Suleman Akram Raja had resorted to LHC in connection with establishment of additional tribunals.

Chief Election Commissioner ( CEC) has been made respondent.

Plea has been taken in the petition that election tribunals judges have been appointed in the high courts of other provinces.
